Students who have completed the Cert. IV and Diploma are eligible to be enrolled into the Advanced Diploma course. The Advanced Diploma is basically a theory course with no practical flying involved. The ATPL (Airline Transport Pilots Licence) subjects form the basis of the Advanced Diploma. There are seven subjects that you must complete along with the seven examinations. On successful completion of the exams you will be issued with what is termed a 'frozen' ATPL. The activation of your ATPL requires you to have a minimum of 1500 hours total time, of which 750 hours must be in an aircraft and 250 of these hours must be PIC. In addition you also need to have 200 hours cross country time, 75 hours instrument time and 100 hours at night. Students enrolled into this course are also eligible for GST exemption. Below is a course cost for the Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses. Students who enroll in one course are not obliged to complete the other 2. For example if you enroll in the Cert. IV you don’t have to do the Diploma, however if you wanted to do the Advanced Diploma it is an educational requirement that you complete the Diploma first.

Approximate Total Cost for ATPL Theory Course $5,800.00 AUD all inclusive.
