Instructor Rating

At Moorabbin Flying Services (MFS), our Flight Instructor Rating (FIR) course grooms you to take on the role as a teacher of flight. During the FIR course you will learn how to prepare briefings and conduct the practical session for each sequence of flying training, just as your instructor did for you when you were learning to fly. A flight instructor rating is a great way to gain employment after you have finished your commercial pilot training, and it provides a great way to refine and work on your piloting skills, whilst in the enjoyable environment of the flying school. We conduct a one on one interview with every FIR applicant to ensure they possess the necessary attributes and qualities that will make for a good instructor. The FIR is an approved course and as such is GST free regardless of how you complete your CPL. Below is a suggested budget for the FIR.
