Moorabbin Flying Services (MFS) is located on Northern Avenue, Moorabbin Airport, behind the Large DFO Shopping Centre. The flying school consists of two large theory classrooms and a hallway of pre-flight briefing rooms, for students to be trained in. Our larger theory rooms are equipped with roof mounted projection facilities, in order for us to brief our students using both whiteboard and digital media. We also operate a dedicated simulator training room for all our simulator training, which houses our Elite iGATE Flight Training Device.
Our student pilots have access to a pilot lounge, plus a large pilot study area in order to plan their flights and ensure a quiet place to study. Our reception area is usually the hub of activity, with student pilots and instructors constantly coming and going from the flight line. MFS provides access to computer facilities and Wireless Internet, which is available throughout the entire building for weather briefings and submission of flight plans.

At MFS, we know how important it is to enjoy learning to fly. That is why we provide a social element to our school, holding regular events like Barbeques, Fly Aways and Social Nights. These nights allow our student pilots to meet new people and discuss flying with our Flight Instructors and other students in a relaxed environment. Many pilots often team up and plan fly away weekends together to events like the Birdsville Races, a Grand Prix or an one of the many Airshows around this big country.
