There is no minimum hour requirement for the Multi Engine endorsement, however on average a student can expect to complete a minimum of 5 hours dual flight instruction.
What Does a Multi Engine Endorsement allow me to do?
Most employers will required you to have multi engine experience, so at some stage you will have to embark on your multi engine endorsement. Most people are under the belief that two engines have got to be better than one - not necessarily so! In most multi engine aircraft, if one of those engines should stop, that plane can be more of a handful than the single engine aircraft whose engine fails.
During this phase of your training you will learn the drills, emergency procedures and handling characteristics associated with asymmetric flight (flight on one engine)
