MFS signs an MOU with CSE Aviation (Indonesia)
MFS is proud to announce the signing of a Memo of Understanding (MOU) with CSE Aviation an Indonesian Aviation Consultancy company. This MOU underlines the strength of our relationship and strategic partnership with CSE Aviation and reinforces our shared commitment to developing joint opportunities for Flight Training of Indonesian aviation students and pilots. Taking place at our new campus the MOU was signed by Chappy Hakim (retired Air Marshall of the Indonesian airforce) and Andrew Johnson (Director of MFS). Witnessing the event was Samudra Sukardi (Vice Chairman of CSE Aviation), Maddy Johnson (MFS’s CFO), Peter Craven (Director of Katamaglobal) and Mark Darragh (MFS’s General Manager). We look forward to working with CSE Aviation and see this as a significant milestone in growing a healthy and strong friendship and strategic partnership with the Indonesia aviation industry in the future.
Become a Pilot for 3 Days
The Become a Pilot for 3 Days is an ideal way to explore a career as a Commercial Pilot. This three day workshop is a priceless opportunity for those interested in a career as an airline pilot. Giving you the chance to meet people in the industry, fly one of our modern aircraft twice under instruction from one of our experience instructors, gain some time in our CASA approved simulator, explore the facilities of Moorabbnin Airport and undertake some basic theory. All these activities are designed so you can make an informed decision about your career as a commercial pilot. If you are serious about choosing aviation as a career this is one of the best opportunities to find out about the exciting world as a commercial pilot.

Vet in Schools
An exciting new program set to start in 2016.
For year 10/11 students this program is intended to open up the opportunity for senior secondary students entering into the exciting field of aviation. Get a hands-on understanding of piloting a aircraft, working through the ground theory with like-minded students and better understanding of the aviation industry both now and into the future.
This program will be delivered in conjunction with a two private colleges in Mentone and Geelong. Students will attend the theory component on Wednesdays and we suggest they continue their practical flying on the weekends at Moorabbin & Barwon Heads Airports

Moorabbin Flying Services in conjunction with Sharp Airlines have the perfect solution for you…. The longest running (now in its 20th year) and highly regarded “Sharp Airlines First Officer Cadet Program will help you realize all of these things in around 14 months. Upon graduation from the training you will be employed on a 9 month contract as a First Officer with Sharp Airlines. You will be fully remunerated during your contract period as per the Air Pilots Award.
New cadets commence training at MFS undertaking the AVI40108 Certificate IV in Aviation (Commercial Pilot Aeroplane Licence) and AVI50408 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Flight Operations) at our Moorabbin Airport Campus over a 14 month period. During your training you will complete a multi-engine commercial pilot licence, night rating, command instrument rating, be involved a number of industry relevant activities and spend time at one of Sharp Airlines offices in either Tasmania or Victoria. Cadets finalise their training by completing a Metroliner turbo prop endorsement, Multi Crew Co-operation and a number of the key ATPL subjects.
